Do you ever just listen to a Townes van Zandt song and want to sell all of your belongings and spend the rest of your days on horseback? Well, that is an urge that I have on the regular. I am a very fortunate woman, for I have a life where I can get up and go wherever I’d like, but I usually swap out the steed for a Jeep.
What originally began as car trips in search of the best rock climbing locations turned into a love affair with being on the road. I swap out speed for moseying. I want to see as many lakes, big rocks, trees, little squirrels, stars, and bison as I can. Going slow shows you more. I once filled up at a gas station that also sold alpacas.
What began as journalling along the road turned into documenting, which grew into the opportunity to share these experiences with others. I want folks to feel inspired to get out there. Eat that truck-stop burger, take a picture of that dang dragonfly, stub your toe on a tree root. But don’t take it from me, take it from our good old friend T.V.Z; “there’s not prettier sight than looking back at a town you left behind.”
